What Is an Aura?
Auras are vibrations of energy that are emitted from the body. They take on the form of a variety of colors, including orange, red, yellow, green, violet, blue and indigo. Aura colors are not permanent; in fact, a person’s aura changes throughout their life depending on their mental and physical health.
Finding and analyzing auras takes time and practice. For someone experienced with auras, this energy field is like an open book that can reveal important details about the person.
Everyone has different bands of aura colors. Some bands of color are more permanent than other bands, but all of the colors change depending on how a person is feeling physically and mentally.
The aura layer that changes most often is the outermost layer. The innermost color band is referred to as a person’s daily life color and tells the most about a person’s purpose in life, their personality, their health, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
Auras are composed of molecules and atoms emanating from the body.
How to Find a Person’s Aura
Learning How to See Someone’s Aura
For this exercise, you will need two people – one to have their aura found and one to look for the aura. Here are the steps to finding another person’s aura:
- One person should stand in front of a white background with the other person facing them.
- The person analyzing the aura of the other person should focus on one spot of the person’s face for at least one minute.
- After a minute, scan the edges of the person’s upper body, looking for areas that appear brighter than the original white background.
- Once bright spots can be visualized, the person’s aura has been found.
This method takes considerable concentration and patience.
Learning How to Feel the Presence of Someone’s Aura
Feeling someone’s aura is different from physically seeing the aura. This process also requires two people. Here are the steps necessary to feeling someone else’s aura:
- Stand face to face with the other person.
- Place your palms about six inches away from the other person’s forehead.
- Slowly move your hands down the body.
- Try to sense any unusual feelings, such as a change in the density of air surrounding a particular part of the body.
- If no energy can be felt, repeat the steps above.
The exercise used to feel the presence of another person’s aura is known as Reiki, a holistic health practice that can also be used to cleanse auras and heal a person’s spirit.

The Aura Color Wheel
Auras are comprised of atoms and molecules vibrating around the human body. These vibrations each take on a particular color, which can be seen by a person trained to recognize auras. The aura color wheel consists of seven main colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
Different aura colors are caused by tiny vibrations that cannot be seen by the human eye. Atoms and molecules present in the universe can be seen as patterns. When atoms and molecules release from the body, they release in the form of colorful vibrations that only trained eyes can see.
Some people don’t just fit the mold of one particular aura color. Many people find that two, even three colors apply to them; this is not unusual. Aura colors fluctuate at times and can be a result of certain life situations you are going through currently.
The Red, Yellow and Orange Auras
A red aura is very powerful, usually created by feelings of anger, lust or suffering. Red auras are typically fleeting, moving between red, orange and yellow.
A red aura can symbolize impulsiveness and strong desires. Many health issues are associated with this aura color because of its power. People with red auras should watch out for heart conditions, as well as conditions related to the blood, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
At times, red auras can appear more like the color black. In this instance, the aura band is surrounding a dangerous person who is extremely temperamental and hot-headed.
