Telehealth Sessions

If you are unable to attend a face-to-face session, talk to your therapist about scheduling telehealth sessions.  We utilize a service called Doxy.me which is HIPAA compliant to protect your privacy.  Please let your therapist know at least a week prior to your session that you are interested in telehealth services so they can ensure you are eligible.

Consider the following:

  • Telehealth services are provided using a secure video conferencing software. However, we cannot ensure that your computer is secure from malware or that others around you are not eavesdropping. We recommend installing an anti-virus software on your computer and sitting in a private space in preparation for your session.

  • Not all insurance companies will reimburse for Telehealth sessions. We encourage you to check with your insurance company prior to your session.  If they are unable to reimburse for Telehealth sessions, talk to your therapist about a reduced fee for private pay sessions.

  • Prior to your session, practice using the Telehealth software to ensure you have a good internet connection and that the microphone and camera are working. You will also need to create an account ahead of time and use the waiting room link your therapist sent to you.

  • If you have a copay, deductible, or are using our private pay fee scale be prepared to put a credit card on file or send us payment prior to your Telehealth session.
